✨You need to check out this incredible miracle e ✨You need to check out this incredible miracle event - reindeer TWINS born 2 weeks ago at Leavenworth Reindeer Farm. 🦌🦌 This is a small 3 generation run family farm just over 2 hrs from Seattle . 👋🏻More easy/everyday PNW adventures for busy people who work regular jobs @adventuresoncall . 🦌 It is extremely rare for reindeer twins to be born, and even more rare for one to survive, let alone both - this has only been reported a few times ever. It’s the first time Leavenworth Reindeer farm has ever had twins (most farms go their entire career without twins) . 🦌 Sister weighed just 7.4 lbs, Brother weighed just 8.6 lbs. The average baby reindeer is 14-18 lbs and they’ve never had a baby survive this small. . 🦌 They’re named Hansel and Gretel, and both are healthy and growing every day! . 🦌 This spring the farm has been busy with 11 baby reindeer so far! More everyday PNW for busy people who work regular jobs (and love dogs) @adventuresoncall . 🌻 BLOOMS: Balsamroot is an iconic PNW sunflower in sunny mountain trails. It often grows alongside purple lupines. 🏔️WHERE: in Central and Eastern WA (10 trails below here) 📆WHEN: late April-early June 🐾DOGS/SAFETY: The hikes are dog friendly, BUT it’s very crowded/trails are extremely narrow, so I suggest leaving dogs behind (I didn’t bring Nike). Note that there’s ticks and rattlesnakes too 🥾 FYI: In this video, we were hiking at 8pm on a weekday, and there were still a lot of people/dogs. . ‼️LEAVE NO TRACE ‼️ ⛔️DO NOT pick any wildflowers, go off trail, lie down in/trample the flowers, let your dog off leash (even if you see other people doing it). ⛔️ ↟ It takes 3-5 years for the balsamroot plant to grow, and up to 10 years to flower.
