It’s the ZOO! 🦓🐒🦁🐘🦚🦥 . Being in an igloo is one of the most unique experiences for me, and it was so fun trying out the new Snow Globes at @woodlandparkzoo [hosted]. We got to see some penguins, stayed cozy at the Snow Globe, then enjoyed the beautiful Wild Lantern lights. 🦃🍁🥧Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiv 🦃🍁🥧Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. This year I’m especially grateful.🥧🍁🦃 . Family is the biggest - with my husband, my daughters who are growing up so fast, and Nike. After years of waiting, my brother in law and future sister-in-law moved to Seattle and we are so excited. My brother and his then girlfriend to visit us during the summer, and she is now a fiancée (also an amazing physician/surgeon resident, so I’m excited to also have a female MD join the family). . Extra appreciate of good health with my accident, surgery, and slow recovery, and I couldn’t have done it without the help of family and friends. While I am still not 100%, I am grateful to be able to be out of a wheelchair, independent, and walk again. . Thankful for having my dream job as a cancer physician with such supportive colleagues, great patients, and all the advancements in cancer treatments (it’s been a very good year for my specialty, lung cancer). . I am grateful I can pursue my photography/videography passion in addition to medicine. Thankful for the opportunities from content creation. ‼️Did you know 10 million dogs and cats are re ‼️Did you know 10 million dogs and cats are reported lost or stolen in the United States each year, according to the American Humane Association? [ad] . 🐾 I recently shared how we lost Nike when she got out of the door while family was visiting, and it was super stressful. . @tractive reached out so we could test out their GPS tracker. Features include live GPS tracking, virtual fences, location history, and more (with GPS tracking being the most important for me!) . The tracking device is really light for Nike, which I appreciate, and can go down as small as 9 lbs). It can be moved between collars/harnesses. It lasts up to 10 days on power saving mode using wifi when at home (the bigger size for dogs >50 lbs lasts 1 month!). Also you can make the tracker device emit a noise or light (like find your iPhone!). Tractive connects with AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile LTE. 🌀Bomb Cyclone Update🌀 . Since Tuesday, we’ 🌀Bomb Cyclone Update🌀 . Since Tuesday, we’ve had no electricity/power, no data, no cell reception, no heat, nothing where we’re at. Roads closed, school closed, street lights are out, trees are down. . Things are slowly coming back in some areas thoughout Washington, and our ETA for getting power back is this Saturday midday. . I’m at the hospital for work (cancer care must go on!) so I can use their WiFi and charge my phone/laptop and figure out what’s happening in the world. . Most importantly we’re safe, and our rental house is safe. We’re just dark and cold. The girls think it’s a grand camping adventure eating bread and cereal by lantern, and Nike snuggles keep us cozy. . On the plus side, the hospital can’t page me when I’m at home now 📟 I was able to mooch a neighbor’s starlink wifi for 30 min so I could prep for clinic patients by lantern . 📍@campjuniper1967 (where I wish I was) . . . #seattlelife #pnwlife #cabinlife #bombcyclone #aframe
