This is not even in Europe. 📍This is Washington (🪻+ 🏔️) . 👋🏻 More everyday PNW adventures for busy people @adventuresoncall . ☀️ Did you know that lavender is a huge industry in Washington, even though lavender likes very dry, hot weather? . 💜The PNW is infamous for rain, but there are unique microclimates (mild winters, low precipitation, abundant sunshine) which is perfect for lavender cultivation. In fact, Sequim is the Lavender Capital of North America . 🪻Peak Lavender blooming season is now! Blooms are late June through early August 🪻 This year’s Sequim Lavender Festival is July 18 - July 20, 2025 (Personally I prefer other days for less crowds) 🪻 Places to find lavender farms include Sequim, Whidbey Island, Ferndale, Olympia, and Woodinville 🪻Sequim Lavender Trail is a scenic driving / cycling route on a tour of the lavender farms in Sequim open all summer long. 🪻Check for U-pick and dog friendly options (many are dog friendly)! 🐾 🪻 Many lavender farms have stores open all year - highly recommend trying lavender ice cream, lavender lemonade, lavender jam, lavender soaps/lotions, and more 🍦 . 🏔️And you can get lavender + Mt Rainier views on a clear day . . . 🏷Lavender farm, dog friendly, PNW, lavender festival, lavender Upick, lavender field, Sequim, Sequim Lavender Festival, Whidbey Island, visit Washington, visit Seattle, family friendly

While the strawberry season just ended, there’s still plenty of U-pick for Summer . 🧺Whether you’re out with kids, meeting up with friends, or just craving a little nostalgia, U-pick farms are one of the simplest ways to slow down and savor the season. . 📍Bailey Farm (Snohomish, WA) – Open June - October •  A charming family-run farm (5 generations) •  Mountain views, easy rows for kids, and beautiful picnic spots •  In addition to strawberries, they also have Upick vegetables, raspberries, flowers, apples, corn and pumpkins! . 📍Swans Trail Farms (Snohomish, WA) – Open June - October •  Bigger fields, great variety of attractions, and lots of space to roam. •  In addition to strawberries they have Upick apples and pumpkins •  Farmer camp, activities for kids (ziplines, tractor rides, slides, ropes course, etc), cidery •  Baby animals and strawberries Festival in June and Harvest Festival Sept- October •  Plus: cider donuts.
